CONVOY OKINAWA TO SAIPAN, OKS-16

This large convoy departed Okinawa on 29 July and arrived at Saipan 7 August. On 1 August the convoy was in the midst of a typhoon which caused many ships in the convoy to scatter. The screen spent the next couple of days rounding up the stragglers.
